Getting Back Into Art With Just 4 Hours a Week | My Personal Art Course
Creator's Note
Can I stick to my super flexible, minimal art course?
About this video
After being away from art for a long time, I’ve decided to build my own personal art course as a way of getting back into creating. This isn’t about chasing outcomes or becoming productive. It’s about reconnecting with art in a way that actually fits my life now. The course is called Reigniting Creativity With Art, and I’ve set it over a year, working around 4 hours a week. That feels realistic for me as a SEN parent, knowing some weeks will look very different to others. The focus is on: 🔵Creating as a way to relax 🔵Experimenting with different materials and processes 🔵Letting curiosity lead rather than pressure 🔵Rebuilding confidence through regular making There’s no end goal I have to hit, but over time I’d love to feel confident enough to maybe enter a few local village fair competitions. If that happens, great. If not, the process still matters. In this video, I talk through how I’m structuring the course, why I’m doing it this way, and what I hope to get out of returning to art on my own terms. I’ve written more about the course on my blog if you prefer reading.
