A quiet walk around A Moveable Refreshment: Works Old and New - the wonderful exhibition by British toymaker and Artist Robert Race at Museum in the Park. Filmed on my birthday at the end of January, this calm, no-talk video takes you around kinetic sculptures, moving toys and automata created from recycled, found and natural materials. Robert’s work feels playful, thoughtful and genuinely inspiring. Robert Race is a British toymaker, sculptor and inventor who has been crafting imaginative mechanical toys and automata for decades. A self-taught maker, he began with dolls’ houses and miniature furniture before focusing on kinetic pieces that delight both children and adults.
